The Media Resource Room
Provided books, catalogues,
portfolios, postcards, posters, video and slide collections from
artists in the symposium and many who could not attend. This
area was open during the entire event, providing a massive reference
library of relevant material, much of it extremely hard to find.
This offered delegates and visitors an opportunity to expand
their view of creative holography in relative peace and quiet,
away from the pressure of the formal presentations. Free Internet
terminals were also available, providing tours of virtual exhibitions,
catalogues and other digital resources, via the World Wide Web.
The Hologram Room
Provided artists with a relaxed
and private space, in which they could exhibit their own holograms
on an ad hoc basis. During the meeting it was also used to provide
the first public viewing of work produced within an experimental
Artist-in-Residence program, funded by the Shearwater Foundation,
in France.
